This is the detail that trips up most buyers: cut-off wires (round or T-profile) are never sold or used by themselves. If your machine uses one, you need it in combination with the correct flat or concave wire — ordering just the cut-off wire won't fix a failing seal on its own.

Don't skip the sealbar fitting

Even with the correct wire profile and width, the wire has to physically seat in your sealbar's end fittings. These fittings aren't universal:

  • One fitting type accommodates 6mm and/or 10mm flat wire (common on Promarks setups).
  • A different fitting is built for the concave + cut-off wire combination used on Sipromac, Webomatic-built Berkel, Promarks concave, and Henkovac setups.
  • A white nylon insulator fitting (with a stainless screw) is also used in certain configurations to insulate the wire ends.
